The 3rd times the charm. On June 28, MPA received notification that the third application to the Ohio State Historic Preservation Office yielded the school the coveted awarding of State Historic Tax Credits.
As had been shared by the Board of Directors in April, the state historic tax credits were an important financial component in addressing a funding gap between existing loan structures and the overall project cost for the renovation of the W. 53rd property, the historic Joseph and Feiss clothing company building. This funding award will allow the school to continue to move forward toward closing and provide exciting progress on preparing W. 53rd to become MPA's new home.
