Qualification Criteria

Menlo Park Academy is a public, tuition-free K-8 school in Cleveland, Ohio. Enrollment is open to all gifted children in grades K-8 who reside in Ohio.

To enroll, students must be identified as being gifted by either their current school district, an independent psychologist or by participating in one of Menlo Park Academy’s free testing events. The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) defines gifted children as an at-risk population in today’s education system and provides criteria for identifying those children.

A gifted identification can be superior cognitive (an IQ in the gifted range) or mastery in the top 95% in a single subject on an ODE approved assessment.
